Who we are
Monitor-i is an international research and knowledge-transfer project that brings together professionals and organizations from around the world to study how technology monitoring and strategic, competitive, and market intelligence are applied in companies and institutions. It fills the gap in standardized data and benchmarking, helping to compare and understand these practices.
This pioneering initiative combines international surveys with open-source analysis using big data and artificial intelligence, helping to strengthen the profession and guide smarter decisions in today’s rapidly changing environment.
The project is led by researchers from the University of Alicante (Spain) and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, with strategic partners such as the Latin Ibero-American Association for Technology Management and Innovation (ALTEC).

Why we created Monitor-i
Monitor-i was created to fill the gap in standardized data and benchmarking tools that help organizations track and compare the monitoring and intelligence practices they develop. It also aims to strengthen strategic decision-making and guide training policies for today’s professional landscape.
The study uses a mixed, exploratory approach, combining an international survey, automated analysis of open sources with big data and AI, and an interactive platform to visualize results.
Thank you for joining this transformation—every experience counts.
